I feel like we've done an amazing thing here friends. Not only have we connected via our passions, but we've improved ourselves and our skill in the process. I have learned so much this semester, and documenting my progress has been really fun. So in honour of this coming to an end, here's a couple highlights from the process.

I was so ambitious back then, thinking I could start to finish and entire lamp in one semester. I got one shade done, and one more cut, that's it. But that's okay! Big goals.

This was the one part of the whole process I had never ever done before. I feel like I could have found better resources to complete it, but I'm also a problem solver at heart, so this was a super fun part.

This was also a superrrr fun one, because it got be to think about how I'm showing my process and what looks aesthetically pleasing for content creation.

I feel like this is where I really start to get into the different resources I have at my fingertips other than just Googling. I immediately followed like 10 stained glass creators on Instagram after this one, because they were just so helpful.

And this is the point I really start learning brand new skills, learning the use of my tools, instead of just guessing. I feel like when I self teach, I feel shame for having to look things up or find help, so this project forcing me to reach out and improve my skills is really a blessing.

Using Reddit, or even being on Reddit was brand new for me. I think it gets a bad rep for being a place where everyone dumps their deepest secrets, but there's some surprisingly good information on there. It's nice to see people helping just for the sake of it,that's what the Internet is for in my opinion.

This step just shows you how much of a difference there is between learning by reading and learning by watching. On paper, I do exactly what she does, but when watching the video I realized little differences, things that I could adjust to be better without necessarily looking up Top 10 Stained Glass Hacks.

This was more of an experiment than anything, because ChatGPT didn't give me much useful information, but I think it goes to show that sometimes humans make the best resources.

And finally we reach the end of our journey. TikTok was a better resource for visual learning and tweaking skills, I wouldn't personally recommend it for learning the body of a new skill, but it was nice to be able to see multiple videos in the span of 10 minutes rather than 1 Youtube video.

Overall, amazing experience, and I have just one thing left to show you...

Thanks for joining me on this journey! It's been amazing.
