So my name's Nevada, and I'm a former French Ed student in my first year of regular Ed! I'm now technically in my fifth year of school, but on the Education timeline I'm in my third year. French Ed was amazing, thank you for asking. I went to Quebec in my second year to learn the culture and improve my French, and it was genuinely the best year of my life. Outside of school, I am an avid collector of mugs, I have a cat named Crouton, and I love the colour pink (bless the Barbie movie for bringing it back!). I also consider myself to be an advocate for those with serious mental health issues, specifically psychosis, and am working on breaking the stigma and the fear around the illness. But enough about me, we're all here to see what truly matters, technology.

I can't say I know much about technology in the classroom to be honest. I am a math teacher, so obviously we use things like Desmos and other online manipulatives, but as a whole, using technology in the classroom is completely new to me. I did have a class very briefly during one of my practicums that used Google classrooms for EVERYTHING, from attendance, to activities and games to do after they were done a task. That always seemed great to me, but very very out of reach, as I am not what some were call tech savvy and the amount of applications it was used for at the time seemed very overwhelming. I think that's my biggest issue with technology, is it's so accessible, but it's SO overwhelming.

Like, for example, I just heard that you can rewire an Apple Watch to be a helping hand for those with exceptionalities? Like not even use what the Apple Watch has to offer, but literally change the software to have it do other things. Craziness. So that's my thing, is although I'm sure there's Youtube videos explaining how to do literally everything, there's so much to learn to begin with that I can't even bring myself to get started, because everything is so big and scary.

As for blogging, I associate that with the kind of people who could actively keep a diary as a kid, and that was not me, I tried. However, as I write this I'm kind of getting really into it. I think mostly because I don't have to filter my words to be "essay style", I can just type the way I talk, which I find sort of liberating. I do have to say that I am brand new to this whole blogging thing though, so they're bound to be more eye-catching and fun as I get used to this. One thing I do have to say is that this is a great way to get into the minds of others and truly see what they're passionate about, like me and my cat. I think people have this tendency to hide their opinions and love for things, but through a blog you can get a glimpse into someones genuine life, and I think that's kind of beautiful.

Anywho, I'll say bye for now, and leave you with this picture of two beautiful ladies (me and Crouton).
